Careers at Electrotec
Join a Crawley team that installs solar, batteries and electrical systems across Sussex, Surrey and Kent.
We are an MCS, NICEIC, TrustMark, RECC and CHAS accredited installer with more than 2,000 installations behind us. We are growing, and we want people who take pride in doing the job properly. If you like practical work, clear standards and a team that knows your name, we would like to hear from you.
Why work at Electrotec
A small team that knows your name
You will work with the same people on site and in the office, and you will always know who to call.
Proper standards, proper kit
We work to MCS, NICEIC and PAS 2030 standards, and we install FoxESS, Tesla Powerwall, Sigenergy and SolarEdge systems that customers actually ask for.
Work that matters locally
Every job cuts a Sussex or Surrey household’s or business’s energy bills. You can drive past the roofs you have done.

Solar Sales Consultant
About the role
People choose us because we explain things honestly and design around their home, not a quota. As a solar sales consultant you will help homeowners and small businesses decide whether solar and battery storage is right for them, then guide them from first enquiry and site survey to signed proposal. You will work with our Sales Manager and our survey and installation teams.

- Follow up enquiries from our website, Google, partners and referrals promptly
- Understand each customer’s usage, roof and goals, and explain the savings in plain English
- Present clear proposals covering solar, batteries, export tariffs and finance options
- Carry out site surveys at customers’ homes: assess the roof, shading and orientation, check the electrics and consumer unit, and agree where the panels, inverter and battery will go
- Take accurate measurements and photos so the system can be designed and priced correctly
- Hold video consultations where a visit is not needed, and keep our CRM up to date
- Hand each job to the installation team with everything they need
What we are looking for
- Proven sales experience, ideally in solar, energy, home improvement or another consultative sector
- Confident explaining numbers, payback and tariffs, or keen to learn them
- Honest, patient and organised, with strong follow-up habits
- A full UK driving licence and your own transport
- Comfortable carrying out home site surveys, including checking roofs and electrical set-ups
- Good written and spoken English
What we offer
