What Happens During an EICR?
Our electrician will carry out a thorough visual inspection and series of tests on your property's fixed electrical installation. This includes checking the consumer unit (fuse board), wiring, sockets, light fittings, earthing and bonding. The inspection typically takes 2–4 hours depending on the size of the property.
At the end of the inspection you will receive a formal EICR certificate graded as either Satisfactory or Unsatisfactory, with any issues classified by severity (C1, C2 or C3).
